Born just outside of New York City, I spent much of my youth taking notice of the things that gave the city its life, cataloging these observations with both my camera and my pen. For a brief time, my father served as my mentor … and my torturer. During his brief foray into photography, he became obsessed with mastering the technical aspects of his Minolta. During one of his many tests, he placed me in a pitch dark room, where I sat against the wall holding a sign notating the camera and flash settings, along with the distance between the camera and the subject (me). The whir of the flash charging was the only warning I had before being blinded by the sudden bright light that shattered the darkness. After I finally pointed out that this activity was almost certainly a violation of the Geneva Convention, my father released me from further experiments. While my love of the medium managed to survive this ordeal, I vowed only to use natural light in my own compositions.

After graduating from the University of Hartford, armed with a Journalism degree, I began pursuing my three great passions: traveling, writing and taking pictures. Along the way, I won awards for my writing, and had my photography exhibited in galleries and private collections around the world.

My gypsy spirit has taken me across the globe, and I currently call Miami and Paris home. I share my love of all things Parisian as Editor-in-Chief (and publisher) of Parisien Salon, an online magazine and travel planner dedicated to the French capital.
